Speakers in a 5 door

How many speakers are there suppose to be as standard?

I have 2 in the front doors and the previous owner has fitted some aftermarket ones under the parcel shelf.

I would have thought there would be speakers in the rear doors as standard?

I have the two small speakers by the back seats in my 54 TDI FR but maybe on differnt model they didn't put them in a bit like all the other silly things they didn't put in to cut costs!

Standard set up
There is a component set in the front (one in each door and a tweeter by the door handle) and one in each back door,think its a dual cone or 2 way, never taken the door apart to find out.
The bit by the rear handle doesn`t have a tweeter in like the front, which is a shame, might sound better if it was . 53 plate tdi sport

the previous owner probably "borrowed" the rear door speaker connections for the parcel shelf speakers.....

In my 2004 Ibiza Sport 1.4 16V 100hp 5dr... I had no rear speakers as standard what-so-ever... Yet then again we don't get radios as standard either!!!
