Wastegate?

Been offered a t3 t4 hybrid turbo and exhaust manifold, further to my split manifold.
One question the new manifold and turbo setup comes with an external wastegate. will this work or would itbe easier to just blank the wastegate connection off.
I am assuming no remap would be needed!?!

any turbo swop will have to be mapped for and if it comes with an external wg then its best to use it.

manifold looks almost the same as the atp but in stainless so i assume it will fit.
Have seen some 4 branch ones on us e-bay which are mahoosive and will deffo not fit but this is very similar in size to standard.

How much will a map to run this cost as I was only theinking of it as it works out cheaper than just the manifold from jbs as seller needs rid.

will the turbo not run at all if no map is done or will it just be a bag o shite?

it is the same a s standard but bigger internals so thoght i would get away with it.

they do sound awesome my m8s got one on his mr2 turbo and we heard there only illegal if there visable or external noise eg comin out the body work.

you cant just fit the turbo without a map to suit.
risking engine melty pistons/valves and rods out of block worst case

off topic i'm sorry a screamer is illegal because it sends exhaust gases directly out of the engine without them passing through suitable filters ie an exhaust.. and they add to polution and you should shout at your mate because his mr2 is robbing the polar bears of there homes......

lol ill make him sit down and watch a episode of "walking with polar bears" im sure he'l see the light and change his ways.
