Surrey darling...
I love decent sub bass and have a fantastic active sub on my home stereo but the idea of filling my boot up with MDF and the weight of large woofers puts me off tbh... had all that in my first mk1 Golf and it really made a difference to the performance - ok it was a 1.3 and I'm sure the LCR wouldn't suffer so badly but I still can't bring myself to lower my MPG/performance just for the low notes!

Have been tempted by things like the infinity basslink but not sure if they'd really be any good or not!?!

Kinda need all my boot for my camera equipment. The only thing in it at the moment is a small first aid kit :D

That is a lot of weight to carry around!!

I used to own an Elise where even considering taking an iPod on a journey may cause extra weight problems!! LOL.

I suppose the 1.8T doesnt give much of a sound track so this sort of kit may be necessary, although I find the standard kit in the LC pretty good with an amplified head unit.

I used to have the L7 1ohm stable with a Kenwood Amp that was 1 ohm stable, nearly blew the back window out.

thats the beauty of kicker they dont need spacer to move like other subs.
Alpine type R subs are good too.

I have one of these in mine. Excellent piece of kit. Ok it will never win any SPL comps but huge improvement on standard.

I have had twin rocky fosgate subs with multiple amps in previous cars, but now I have a 3 year old son and need the space. The basslink takes up very little, doesn't way much, didn't cost much and sounds heaps better with the bonus of remote adjustment of the gain level.

Recovered the kicker sub box in red acoustic carpet and made a false floor to keep the amps in. Took a day and half to do and happy with the results and still got space in the boot for the missus if she annoys me ;) :)
