gt28rs fitting questions

hi guys av been looking to upgrade my leon sport and have come up with the gt28rs turbo. now i have looked around for info on it and as far as a no it is a direct replacement in terms of down pipe and manifold is this correct cos alot of pics av seen show the dp coming off horizontally instead of vertically? also is a different tip needed maf etc got told the forge ones wont fit on it if any one has done the conversion a would be greatfull to hear about it cos at the mo am pissing against the wind cheers....

i have just fitted a atp gt2871rs eliminator kit and was right hand drive version not left as used by dpj.
ended up having to do loads more but pics of the full converstion and fitting will be on after the weekend. took about 3-4hrs to fit the kit and went on easily. speak to vagworx as they import these now have pics on my phone can sms to you if you pm your contact number

Being LHD or RHD has no bearing on it...

thats not what i have been told m0rk. apparently has a bearing on the fitting. not sure what. but mine has fitted well enough and refitted engine after rebuild to day and all has gone in ok. can sms pics if you pm me a mob number and you could post up?

the problem with the k03 based eliminator is that it doesn't clear the gearbox

yours is k04 based, which is located 'better' so won't interfere with the gearcables
