New owner with picky questions

Hi All

I have a MK1 (55) Cupra R. I always fold the mirrors in when I park. It's a minor thing but is there a way to modify the car so when you turn the engine off the mirrors fold in and vise versa?

Now... don't laugh. But... The red finger grips on the air vents do my head in. I hate them. Anyone replaced, painted, marker penned etc etc.

This is a bit harder I guess, but the red "centre" mark on the steering wheel. Grrrr. Don't like that either, but I do like the steering wheel. Ideas.

You can change the Steering wheel for an earlier 210LCR Mk1 steering wheel with no red bit at the top. It looses the grippy bits on the wheel as it's just a simple / normal shaped wheel but retains the red stitching to keep the theme in car.........infact someone may swap you one on here?

Search for Autowindows, this is a module that allows you to remote operate the folding mirrors from the keyfob....so as you lock the doors and walk away they auto fold

The vents could all be replaced with Audi A3 items, infact the later A3 items also had the facility to be illumintaed at night which is a nice touch

I have been looking for a 225 steering wheel so if your interested i'd be happy to swap as the 225 wheel will compliment my red theme nicely

Must admit I wont change the wheel - to much work and airbags to worry about. I will try and track down vents though.

The key fob mod - I'm too lazy to install. Looked at the instructions. Looked complicated.

I'd imagine every man and his dog would seeing the £300 it costs to upgrade the 210 to a 225 wheel

Hi, I've got standard Not illuminated airvents and would actually really like the illuminated ones. I've heard it is straight forward to take out if a little bit fiddly. If your interested in a swap, I'll have a look at how easy they are to get out and send you a guide on how to.
