Bought an FR.

As you probably know, was looking at and had a deposit on an Ibiza Cupra, but due to road noise and a couple of other factors.. I withdrew.

Been to see an 07 reg FR today, 4300 on the clock in Zenith Grey

Test drive was really good, felt hugely smoother than the Cupra, power wasn't really comparable, but I'm sure a Revo will help a lot

They're going to have a look at the wind noise for me, and sort that out, get the condensation out of the headlights, and replace those awful silver mirror caps with body-coloured ones.

Pretty happy for the price really!!!

nice buy mate tyres would have sorted the cupra road noise out but hey cant exspect to pay 3/4 the price of a golf and get the same quality hey

End of the day though, the Cupra was also an extra £1200 to insure.. Not worth it really! It's better on my bank balance all round

fair play enjoy the fr love the grey! wanted minein thaty coulour but when a black cupra 180 came up for 8.5k a year and a half ago with 14,000 miles on the clock colour wasnt an issue

Renewal should be about £850 I imagine.

Let me know how you get on with that! Cost me £300 to have the timing belt kit fitted along with a water pump.

well i got the part number and price from Pete88 on here.

was £80+ vat
fan belt is £14+vat but will get 1 from my local dingbro.

Getting my old workmate who's still in trade to fit it. I'l help along. Just not confident to do it myself

Then will do my brothers 172 aswel.
