In April I'll be giving back my company car and taking over the family 2.0T Leon.

I'll be making one or two changes :)

1. Speaker project
2. Sat Nav upgrade
3. Freeview install
4. Alu trim pedals

So my questions are:

1. Speakers

Just about everyone has gone down the route of adding Infinity 652.7i. Any alternative speaker suggestions?

2. Sat Nav

Is there any point getting the DVD MFD2 model or is the CD version just as good?

Is there a special Seat splash screen version? Special part number?

What can I connect options are available over and above the multi-CD that I already have.

3. Freeview / DVD

Has anyone added a DVD or freeview unit to their Seat Sat Nav? Where did you fit it? What cabling is required.

4. Pedals

Any alternative to buying the MKV GTi pedals (£67) and swapping?

Hmmm ... not sure about these. Are they standard on the Cupra / FR ? Also since these are RHD will they be appropriate? I suspect the footrest will be a different moulding?

Anyone know anything about this? Any UK resellers or equivalent parts?

For Freeview, how about this:

Thanks for those links. Really interesting.

Howver my budget is a little lower as I want to include the ability to control from the MFD sat nav. rather than play with a Remote Control. I've spotted this alpine unit for £189 which, when added to the control unit I linked above, can be controlled directly by the buttons on the MFD2/3 dash.

The control box + German freeview box can be bought as a complete solution inc. aerials, leads etc for €500 (£370).

An alternative package of german Freeview box + MFD2 interface is here for €440 (£325)

I'd love to hear from anyone that's done this sort of thing with their Leon! This sort of integration really appeals to me.
