Cupr_Matt reckons that his k03s ran better on stg1. Which icould proberly belive now ive ran stg2 on the k03s. I think its decision time for me, either get it properly mapped or go bigger, proberly meaing GT2x as i dont really wanna change internals and the fact its a stright swap.

I don't regret going k03s at all. It only cost me a few hundred quid to do and that took me upto 250bhp (never been in a revo'd k03s to compare). If you can do it cheaply then its worth it, but you will get bored of the power soon enough. if the conversion is going to cost much more then don't bother.

If i could get it running at its best around 250, then id proberly be happy with that, On stg2 i think id be lucky to see 220 tbh. Im swayed by water/meth and a jabba map at the moment.

from what people are saying i dont think im gunna bother with the ko3s

gunna keep with the ko3,fit a fmic and 3" and 100cell cat 4bar fpr to get a bit more out of the injecters and get i custom maped at jabba

my jabba map is all over the show at the mo,i think it because ive just keept adding things to it, and it was remaped when is was completely std by jabba

surely if you're doing all that, you might as well put a k03s on there too. It might only cost an extra couple of hundred quid for an extra 40bhp...cheap power.

if i ever get myu ko3s running proper will get it rollign roaded to see how quick it is but i probs should have saved fro gtx or somthing simmiler.

The reason i say i dont think ibiza stage 2 with a k03s isnt up to it is due to requested boost. Stage 1 actually asks for me at peak power and slightly less top end, but my main gripe is when you compare requested stage 2 on another VAG car.

See my thread about it. GaryM's and DPJ, on basically the same setup as my car requests a lot more and have pulled bigger figures...

One of the reasons why i've got a bleed valve to fit to see if i can get more. 60% WG duty at 6k isnt really pushing it.

I assume we're just referring to Revo stg 2 here?

I love the agression of my stg 1 and from what I've heard about the stg2 don't think I'll bother but would hope Jabba could get a k03s setup to 240-250 when running right.

I wish my k03s would give me 40bhp. In reality its probably around 10bhp.

K03 227bhp - k03s 235-240 (i'd be happy with.)

227bhp from k03? lol, if thats true no wonder it **** itself!! I had 206 on k03 and 250 on k03s

It seems its mainly revo'd k03s owners that suggest not to do the conversion...go custom map.

Theres a few people that have got over 225 on stage 2 k03. Martyn got 226 on Powerstations rollers, and i think someone with a red cupra r on here did as well.

But you gotta ask yourself, is it worth the money? k03s Say 250 all in, plus a 'custom' map of another 500, 750 all in, and what do you get? 250bhp? Thats only 23bhp more than what i got on a k03. I've yet to get a decent dyno run on my k03s but i guess its around the figure i've mentioned. Thats why i don think its worth it.

Fair enough, but even so if you can get that much power out of a k03 I doubt it'll last long. How long did your k03 last at that power before dying?

£750 is too much to pay imo, but it can be done cheaper. ie. if you already have a custom map which can be adjusted for a fraction of the price of a whole map. I paid £350 for the k03s, fitting and mapping so cost me under £8 per bhp lol

The way I see it, if you go for a bigger turbo i.e. gt2x you're still gonna need a custom map anyway which is where a large sum of that money goes

Think I'll stick to my k03s plans just for the sheer simplicity and relative cheapness of it

30k+ on stage 1. Bad oil caused the problems i'm convinced.

Not an upgrade fee with revo, thats one of my main reasons for choosing them. 175 quid to go to stage 3 is awesome. So in theory a GTRS elim can be done for 1500 quid if you have all the right mods already. I know its a lot more than a k03s setup, but you gotta think long term i reckon.

All depends on your plans I guess. I know I can get a Revo stg 2 for £50 but after what I've heard I don't think I'll bother so I'll just have to swallow paying full price for another map once I get a k03s to ensure I get the most out of it.

I got a RR day on feb 9th at Powerstation, so i should find out what kind of power i can get out of a k03s Stage 2 revo.

Will be posting logs soon on everything as well before i go.
