I have both an ebay copy of the B&m shifter and a Audi TT shifter fitted. With the ebay copies you cannot use a push down gear knob it's lift up only. It was a pain to fit took me about 2hrs in all. This is the one i bought but i got it abit cheaper:

It didn't come with a gear knob, i bought a richbrook lift up reverse knob separately.

The TT shifter was a piece of cake to fit, i bought it directly from Audi it cost £24. In all it cost me £65 for the two shifters and the gear knob.

Shifting is vastly improved over standard and it's just as smooth as the oem setup not at all knotchy.

Heres some pictures of mine:

Would the standard gearknob fit the 2fast2cool kit? Also is that defo the kit on your car as it does not list ibiza as a fitment?

Even the B+M one changes it to lift up reverse.

I have the same setup as you J3RV X, even down to the gear knob.

Just wait til the lift up revese plastic knob wears, it'll soon get on your nerves. Easy to sort out tho.

Pull up the gear gaiter. You'll see the plastic part which changes it to lift up reverse.

Its like a threaded part with a push fit plastic boss on the end.

Stupid question, but how do you convert it from a push down, to a lift up reverse? Does it lock into place when you lift it up or do you have to hold it in reverse?

Cheers.

The standard gear stick has a push down mechanism, when you install the after market shifter you do away with the whole push down oem assembly. When selecting reverse you just pull up the shaft (seen in the pics above) and put it in reverse, once it's in reverse it's locked into place.

Ahh cool, cheers. That's what i thought but wasn't sure if there was anymore to it than that.
