been thinking about p/Xing my cupra for a cupra r just want some input from you guys about how much more it will cost to run,just wanna know bout the petrol side of things really,wot you guys get mpg wise its not an issue really just want a rough idea

27-30 mpg for me but less if i'm doing constant short journeys, if I'm comuting from girlfriends then 30-32 is more common.

However when thrashing it like I've just taken the keys off a newly banned Mr Clarkson, then 20 and under is often seen :lol:

If i drive it realy hard then these figures drop
Fuel consumption hasnt sufered since having it maped

thats good to know about the mapped consumption.

im currently looking at buying a leon cupra r once ive sold my st170. Planning to stay stock for approx 6months and then all being well get the car mapped.

lol prob will come alot sooner than that knowing me.

although 55bhp and a ruck more torque than the focus will still keep me entertained for a while, cant believe the difference over the focus i mean my focus is no slouch really even for all the stick they get...i must have a good one as a ctr only just has the legs on me up to 80, 80+ pretty neck and neck.

anyway im bablin now lol

33-37 on motorway, 28-33 town driving.
Just let it warm up first and wait till it hits 30mpg, then drive it 'properly'.

Costs £50-55 to fill up and on average I do about 350-375 miles to a tank.
