altea roof rack

Hay all, Before I bought my Altea I spotted whilst on Snowboarding holiday an Altea with some nice shinny roof rack bars, now im going boarding again I fancy getting some, anyone know how much? and where from??

Also my cousin has roof bars on her 2003 Leon, will it fit my 2005 Altea??

i have been after getting roof bars for mine for ages now, got a top box, waiting to go on the car and my ladders are still sat at my dads as i cant shift them.

Want some that look good though!

This thread seems to be a mixture of standard Altea and Altea XL. Could someone clarify please?

And to Chrisash: - A ladder on the roof is not likely to enhance any car's looks!

I have an XL but I only said that the Leon bars won't fit the Altea (Std & XL).

The XL bars are different to the Altea bars due to the XL having roof rails.

Bars for both available from dealers, I thing the OEM ones are made by Atera. Atera & Thule from www.roofbox.co.uk (and other places nodoubt)

I had Thule ones on my Leon and if I decide to get some for the XL I will no doubt get Thule again.

I am after roof bars that look the same as the ones you have.
Are they the Thule ones? I like the silver ones, think it would suit the car as they will be staying on there.

They are the Thule "aero" bars, they look nicer and are alot quieter than the square bars.

I think the OEM bars are very similar.

I regularly use roof bars (as I carry kayaks on the roof). Thule tend to make the best available, it's not worth buying cheap if you're going to load them properly (I've seen cheap one's disintergrate).
The Thule aero bars are very good, I have them on my Leon. The Seat own brand are actually made by Thule, but the bars aren't as wide (they tend to follow the line of the body rather than stick out).
I got my latest set from skidrive.co.uk who were very quick and also the cheapest!
