All,

Went to overtake a car on the motorway yesterday, changed from 5th to 3rd, put my foot down hard to the floor and heard a pop, and then my car sounded awful. Rattling exhaust, loud sounds, and didn't boost very well.

So under closer inspection- the backbox has split away from the rest of the exhaust! So I'm in need of a new exhaust, might as well take the opportunity to get an aftermarket one, as one from Seat will probably cost a small fortune.

Any recommendations? I like an exhaust to be noticeable, and pop if possible, but not be ridiculously loud!!

Thanks

Rhys

I'd go for a miltek personally due to performance and customer service!!

Is a thread i was reading earlier about how awful blueflame have been on the leon group buy.. Id advise against their exhausts!

Have a scorpion cat back on mine doesent drone away will crusing on the motorway but as soon as you hit the gas it sound amazing:D:D

Jetex one.
fits well, 2.5" system, worked well on badgerwagen

A few people have posted pics of the oval tip on their blueflame setup in the last couple of days. I also read the blueflame group buy which seemed to be a total disaster, and I accept the customer service is some of the worst to be seen - but I still want the exhaust so I'll probably have to be relaxed about the service.

Milltek downpipe and supersprint race system for me. Looks and sounds spot on but the clamps etc.. or on the supersprint are awful.

Personally i found blueflames customer service great, i rang them 10am tuesday and was told they didnt have the exhaust in stock but if i left a deposit they would give me a bell once it was made. 9am the next day i got a call saying my turbo back exhaust was ready went and collected it the lads were great and i was happy. Oh the exhausts great too  lol

same thing happened to me today :(,

over the last couple of days my exaust has been getting louder and to day when trying to over take i got this allmighty rattleing noise coming from the back and as i let my foot of the pedel it sounded like a chalenger tank with a broken exaust :) also my back box seems to be hanging rather low ??? as if the clips have broke?? mayby it has broken the pipeing ??

sorry to hijack, but does anyone know if milltek will sell a centre section seperately?

my reconmendation is, buy the standard cat back system i have for sale for 50 pounds :).

pickie, same happened to me. it won't fall off as it's got two mounts. or you'd be extremely unlucky if it did fall off haha.

i've already bought a brand new system.. wish i knew that yesterday r8byb, would have snapped your hand off. nevermind!!

thanks for the offer, but id rather replace my milltek centre section. Shame the lifetime guarentee only covers the original purchaser

if your bothered about blueflame customer services or problems give pipewerx a call they did mine and were great and the down pipe is bigger than a milltek too ;)
