Coming home coding via vagcm

Hi All,

Just wondering if its possible to enable the coming home feature(when your headlights come on when u press your central locking) on the MK4 Ibiza's in vagcom because ive heard you could do it without the euro switch but you will need the coding, Any guides or help on this topic would be kindly appriecated

You mean the indicators? once the alarm arms the indicators flash to confirm? the same when unlocking?

no i dont mean them, on the new ibiza's 06 onwards with the convenience pack when you unlock your car your headlights come on aswell for a short period of time, ive heard you can enable it on vagcom even if you dont have the convenience pack for a short period but i do not know the procedures and to go about doing it.

You see them on the mk5 golfs aswell

No its legal, alot of UK spec cars have these as standard now.
They don't flash, they remain on for a set time to light the path or driveway, then turn off.

Heres a quick bit of info from the Audi site. As expected, its the same across the VAG range

Its for an A4 but if you read down the page you will need the "auto"postion on the light switch which i dont know if your seat will have.Have a read and see what you think.

Ive have finally found how to enable the coming home feature for the ibiza cupra, If you go to this site it will explain on how to enable it and other various options on the car but be careful "ITS AT YOUR OWN RISK"

The Ibiza does NOT support coming/leaving home, the link/detail provided by Evans does NOT apply. Sorry but you ain't gonna get that feature unless you retrofit some hardware parts controlling it.

I noticed when looking at the link it mentioned nearly all car's but the Ibiza so gave up on the idea.

The Leon is 1P (mk2) nt 1M (mk 1) so no point trying on any car older than 06 plate.

could the headlights/ fogs be linked so that
the central locking be linked to the open door sensor, and then the head/foglights be linked to the interior light so that when the door was unlocked the head/foglights come on?!

Soz for the lateness of my replies, In my conquest for the coming/leaving home feature on the ibiza i have not got it to work at the moment but i have made an enquiry to a couple of places just to see if i can get it to work.

As Theresias says its not possible, but i have a question for you. For the coming home/leaving home feature i am sure you will only need the light sensor pack you can buy from ibexparts and a euroswitch and hopefully the correct coding to get that feature?

Nothing is impossible in this world. As soon i get an answer or figure how to make it all work ill let my fellow Cuprians(Seat Cupra) know.

It doesn't matter if you install the rain/light sensor and a different switch. The Ibiza central electronics control module does not support that feature, there is no "correct coding" for this model to enable this.
