I've read all the info about what MPG your 'supposed' to get in different circumstances, but im interested in what you are 'actually' getting from yours.

My usual driving consists of by-passes and around town, any regular MotorWay miles are between 1-2 junctions at most. I dont stick my foot down all the time, dont drive like a grandma but I do have to take into account that most of the time I have my 8mth son in the car with me so I do have to be sensible and I am aware of fuel consumption with foot on the led all the time so I try not to.

Just interested to see what all of you are getting compared to the type of driving you do!

Dont suppose you know, but how many miles would you say you are getting to a tenner? I always try to base the amount used on this so it gives me an idea, cos I never really understand MPG.

i don't tend to have much faith in the mpg readings on the trip computer and once the petrol light comes on i get to a petrol station fast as needle drops damn quick. I tend to guage things on how many miles to a tank i get.

pre remap i got between 30-33mpg on average.(according to the trip computer). that's based on B roads and a 40 mile round trip to/from work and when driving sensibly most of the time but with the odd blow out. My best ever reading was 362 miles from a tank, with an average of about 33mpg. typlically though i could squeeze about 320-30 from a tank.

post remap (revo stage one) i could get the same when driving sensibly. that never happens really tbo as i have a heavy right foot when the mood takes me but typically i was getting about 300-310 from a tank.

cars not been 100% for a few months now (acceleration issues) and i'm working through a checklist but i've been struggling to get readings much above 26mpg ne the trip computer, and some weeks about 260, some 280, sometimes even 300 miles per tank. that said i've recently fitted a new panel filter and forge split R dv and i've been enjoying those so that may account for some of the drop in mpg?

worst ever was a tank in 160 odd miles: the week i got revo!

Mines has improved slighty after a treatment of cataclean and a new temp sensor. i average now around 25mpg local and 36mp around motorways. If i cane it, i get average of 16mpg . THis is with stage one remap + exhaust.

When the car was standard on motorway, i average around 43mpg and local diving 28mpg. Get to london and back for £20 quid

Now im using super unlead from sainsburys at 105.9ltr where as shell vpower is now 109.9.

My driving consists of a 30 mile round trip to work each day on traffic filled B roads and dual carriage ways. I get about 290-300 miles per tank when driving reasonably sensibly. I have never had more than 310 out of a tank, even on motorway driving.

im getting 330-340 to a tank £55 quid on shell v-power, on 95 ron its 300 to a tank but 4 quid cheaper to fill, plus a lumpy drive.

its the old thing, if you drive sensible, 60mph to 2500 revs youll get good mpg, around 35 mpg, but who buys a cupra for the consumption, if you want decent mpg 1 get a diesel 2 get a small engined non turbo spaz wagon?

I am getting 24 mpg - about 250 miles for 45 litres of fuel.

Mixture of country roads and dual carriageway (30%) and generally not much hard driving.

Very disappointed in the fuel consumption i get.

I have to stop thinking about it aswell. I gauge how im doing by when the needle goes just past 3/4 at 115 miles and past half at 155 miles and past 1/4 at 225 miles.

On average we get 300-320 miles from full tank to the light coming on. thats roughly £50 to fill it so about 60 miles to a tenner. Thats using a range of roads. The mrs does 6 miles country roads, 10 miles on dual carriageway and 2 miles town driving each way to work. In an LC that is, not an LCR.
Just about to replace the temp sensor, be interesting to see if this makes a difference, but I doubt it. To be honest its what I expected to be getting when we bought the Cupra, so no complaints.

Wow looking at these figures I must drive like a girl :p

I average around 30mpg to and from work (8 mile B roads) on a run I get 380-410 miles to a tank of v-power. This is a standard LC 2001

I'd have said I was a pretty heavy footed driver too..

I did once try and see the best fuel economy I could get and I managed 37mpg on a long run and decided life was too short to worry about a few mpg for the sake of a very boring drive ;-)

Guy I work with has a Golf 20VT @ 180 and he says he gets 42mpg out of his :-o but then he also said he has to keep it under 2k...
