Big Brakes...???

which ones would people reccomend. i no a lot of people get the brembos off the cupra R but they are rare as Rocking horse sh*t.

has anyone upgraded their brakes with anything other and been pleased?

as pay over 500 for second handbrakes and just wait for another cupra R to crash??

i have seen a few companies like hi-spech do big brakes and they are reasonably cheap in comparison to some, but are they any good????

you would be better saving up and getting a set of brembos off badge5 mate would be alot less hassle than buying second hand

They're best part of £800+vat (300x22mm) last time I looked...

The downside of the High Spec option is, of course, that you have to have High Spec brakes.

I'd rather pay a few hundred quid more and get something from Brembo/AP Racing etc, etc.

Not a direct fit as they are 5 stud.

if i was to buy new and wanted big i would go for AP.. great brakes but for the money...brembos

its just for a new set of brembos your looking at a grand really! i wanted to know if there was a cheaper alternative as second hand big brakes are hard to come by.

buy budget and you get budget brakes

they are cheaper but they must be better than standard, im not wanting serious stopping power as im not increasing buy massive amounts. i just want something that is better than what i have.

If you wona save a bit of cash then try getting a set off a golf/leon ect from a breakers yard then get them mod'd to fit. Thats an option other than the brembo's and ap's

I have the 299 x 32's......fully floating race spec performance friction disks and pads with the hispec R114-4 caliper

very light and very effective (and will go under a 15" wheel)
