lower bumper grill

I've just realised today that i have a nice big crack in part of the lower grille between the 2 fog lights (it feels like flexi plastic and it can come out)

easier to post a picture:

The black gloss grille between the fogs, above the splitter, below the reg, in the centre.

Anyone know how much they are new? or if prefacelifts fit etc? although i doubt it

i think smoothed would look good , but wonder what it would do to the heat in the engine bay ?

from looking at yours, you've blended parts of it in, not smoothed it completely over.

I'm smoothing the number plate recess soon anyway. ill get it all done at once though, save double journeys and time away from the car

From memory i cut out the middle part of the grill then (dad) smoothed it in place so the grill is still there. Number plate recess is a good idea think it looks nice, with a short plate or no plate sometimes

I know you should get rid of that bit on the bottom of your bumper

If your blending it in your making it look like a mid facelift bumper

I went searching for my friends wingmirror on a crappy bit of road when he clipped a hedge and left one of those behind!!

I would've taken it if it wasn't blue hehe

I think you may be suprised with the prices of the front bumper bits, the little grilles in the corner I had replaced and were like £3 each!

the polo guys leave the grill and smooth everything around it, it looks quite nice. hmm, i dunno if u should smooth that grill tbh ...up2u though. if u smoothed the fogs out and the number plate, and took away the splitter that would be perfect imo

Dont know if i like that or not. looks "too smooth" if you get me, starts to take lines away from the car and make it look like a big pillow lol

But you're rght a lot of the VeeDubs do look the same.
I'll say no more, and il post pictures once i get it all done!
