Mk3 Ibiza Bigger Turbo

Ok my lil bro is of in Iraq fighting the bad guys, when he comes back his Ko3s Beeza is going bigger turbo, just not sure which one, either a modest GT2X or a bigger GTRS kit, just looking for advice on what might be needed parts wise and what should be expected, i.e. costs and problems, performance the build is fine and it will be mapped at Star or similar place.

A list of parts would be great!

I didn't realise there would be that small a diff in price between 2871 and RS,
which one would you say would work best, car is used most days but drivablity isn't a worry, if its a bugger to drive then so be it!
Also would a Forge FMIC be suffucient for these kits?

Would there be a need for any extra parts or mods on top of the retail kit?

Yeah, small price difference, but its only the turbo thats different (housing).
Depends what you want really, the 71 obviously is capable of more power but a touch more lag.
Depends on engine mods really, if you 'build' the engine, then you'll be able to push the potential of the 71. If not, then the gtrs would probably be more suitable.
The uprated high flow manifold is also a good upgrade to get the most out of either and helps with spool.
A good free flowing exhaust and down pipe would also be needed to make good figures.

The forge fmic would be fine for either, if you want an easy fit.

I would also advise a decent clutch and single mass flywheel combo, which we could supply also.

Its up to you and your bro to what power you want to make, but we can help and advise whatever you choose.

Jon the car currently runs a Ko3s, Blueflame, DP and 100cell cat with full single box system, G60 lightened/balanced flywheel and clutch, 007, and forge FMIC, so turbo kit sould be the only thing required then!

its looking like im going to be moving from my flat to a house in the new year due to the flat been to small as now we have a baby gril .really dont want to sell the leon as i have spent far too much on it and still are as its having cupra r front end fitted at the min
