I've had this suggested to me as a possible remedy for the Bluetooth phonebook problems with Symbian S60 phones, can someone with an N95 or similar have a go and see if it works with the Leon MFD?

What you need to apparently do is to transfer all the contacts to the car by using the following sequence:

In Contacts, select Mark all,
Send Business Card
Via Bluetooth
etc...

Only thing I am thinking is that I don't believe the Leon has a phonebook as such does it, only what you create using the voice commands?

Obviously it won't pull missed call / recent call data but it'd be a start if it does work.

Cheers

Nope, this didn't work for me either.

It did however work from my mates N95 to his Parrot kit, this is what made me try it for the Leon.

Keep on plugging away though mate, and hopefully we shall be able to fully connect to them.

it looks like it becuase the N95 does not support PBAP profile, it to do with phone book access, will require a firmware update on the N95 to resolve it, if they ever add it.

Mines the N95 8GB, I'm sure I have read somewhere that this version has PBAP, but it still won't fully connect.

I've managed to get it to connect and upload the phone book to my Tom Tom though, and according to their website the N95 isn't supported.

Apparently that doesn't work either, something to do with the Seat kit not being able to do a BT scan, unlike the Audi. Until Nokia allows PBAP support in a software update it looks like we're stuffed if we use a modern S60 based phone.

You would have thought so but apparently not. I believe Audi offer two types, an advanced kit and normal one, though what the difference is I don't know.

The battle continues.
