Nokia E50 and N95 8GB with Leon Bluetooth?

Hi guys,

Does anyone have experience of running a Nokia E50 with the Leon Bluetooth kit?

http://discussions.nokia.co.uk/discussions/board/message?board.id=smartphones&message.id=68864

Found this on Nokia's forum, and although I am aware it's been brought up in relation to N95 usage with the Leon in the past (and it didn't work), does anyone know if this one will? I have now installed the latest firmware and the 810 Contacts Downloader software onto both phones and now just await the car's arrival in the hope that it'll work. Sounds promising on the E50 front, though I am aware the Audi system is slightly more advanced than Seat's, and also that both phones are not listed as fully compatible on Seat's own list.

Can someone with a Leon and an E50 try this out anyway and let us know if it is still a no-go please?

'I confirm: the 810 contact loader applications works 100% for my Nokia E50. and Audi A5 new MMI
get it from the nokia website ! i transferred all my contacts and all is now working fine.'

We live in hope of an update to put all this nonsense to a close...

Also, I have heard the Nokia N95 8GB model DOES support the PBAP profile. Anyone tried one of these with the Leon (it's the new version of the N95 which still doesn't work)

Cheers

Rob, my N95 8GB doesn't work withthe BT on my Leon, well not fully, it does connect and make and receive calls, but I can't download the phone book etc.

I wish I could though, it is very annoying.

It is very irritating, especially as it seems that all they'd need to do would be to make it support the PBAP profile.

Think I'm going to get an old 6230i and use it for my work phone in place of the E50 (a terrible phone anyway) and use the N95 but use the voice commands to make most of my phonebook up with the car (to be fair I only regularly call about 5 numbers)

lol, I had a 6230i and upgraded to the N95, wanted the features of the N95. But the way my 6230i worked with the car was great.

I was going to go that route, and the most frequently dialled numbers stored to voice commands in the car.

Yep, me too. And now that I want my 6230i BACK to replace my E50 as a simple work phone, I've gone and given it away... to my Granny! :)

Don't still have it knocking about, unloved do you? :)

Otherwise looks like it's eBay for me to find one.
