It's not about trying, they try to get the highest results possible. It's about the limitations of your engine mate. They start reaching 330-340 from it, bang. Unless they do good internal work.

The thing to remember is don't try and push too much for high numbers. High numbers can be gained very easily but sometimes to the detriment of driveability.
TBH numbers are all bullshit and bragging rights to me. I'm not bothered about what figures my car gets. I raced a guy in a 230 BHP ibiza in my standard 210 LCR. Now on paper there should have been a bit of difference with a lighter car blah blah blah, but there wasn't. Now if you have a very well set up car that is running a strong 300 ish BHP with good torque figures I think you'll be far happier than if you have a car with 320 BHP and lowish torque that only peaks at say 5,000 RPM then dies.
What I'm saying and other people are trying to say also is there is alot to be said for a well shaped graph, feck figures and feck bragging rights, get on a track and drive a very well set up car with ARB's and coilovers with 300 BHP and 300 ft-lbs torque and tell me after that that your not happy.
Try not to over engineer your set up in your mind before you even get it, have faith in JBS and tell them what you want out of the set up and leave it to them. Don't threaten them with other RR's. If your not going to be be happy with their figures then either don't get any or don't pay attention to them.
Yoiu obviously spending alot of money, if you don't trust them then go else where. If they say they'll get you an honest 310 BHP then leave it at that

The specialist i use who also supply revo software dont even have a rolling road! on the grounds that its not really neccesary in theres and my opinion.....

My car has been set up based on my driving style, not the guy which would usually take your car out and do the mapping etc, i drive the car while my trusty revo buff adjusts away on his lappy!:p:lol:

i totaly agree m8 i often race formula ford cars at 2 sisters and a slower car is often often offset against a better set up 1 , but im payin over 5000 so i want power to go with my set up .

which ihi turbo are you having?

getting that magical 320 or 330 is great with similar torque... but dyno lottery, different rollers, temps, operaters take there toll.

if its vf34 your having it should make a good 320/330 safely.

but i would never get hung up on the numbers.... its the drive thats important.
the real difference is the way the power holds, and its drivability.

can only vouch for jabbas work but with the boost turned down you still have 320bhp but the torque is pulled back to around 270ish... vital in poor conditions. mines a slightly different turbo.. vf23 i think.

turn the boost up and you feel it from 3.5k but a 4k its mental and stays there till 7.3k

the bhp is forgotten when you drive it... i wouldnt be bothered if it made 305 on rollers as long as its running at best. my miltek twin zorst melted some of the undertrim during mapping.. conditions are completely different on the road.

can you drive a car ihi`d by them before commiting?

Not required to set up REVO, but there are alot more uses for a dyno :p
I can understand a company not wanting to own a dyno, as they then dont have to explain to customers why the cars dont make the quoted power! :D
Road set up is always the true 'driving' test though....

I know a lot of people will be unhappy with what I'm producing and saying, but, this is a prime example, the figures they make on there own rollers, are always much higher than others and in many cases a good 25-30bhp.

There's something wrong with this.... to only make 280bhp on VF34 IHI unless it was running uber conservative boost. not a typical IHI

and for what you call stage 3 on that LCR...??? wtf does that actually mean?? stage 3 what? whats different ?

no cal'd dyno...... it just never reads the numbers that it 'should'

reads stock cars fine, but remapped it's not happy. clearly not right with BT

From what I've always seen. JBS's rolling road always read atleast 20-30 bhp too high, which is why I'm doubt this 279 claim, and can't wait for the standard figure. Ho hum, just funny how these claims aren't met on any other rollers.

279bhp figures i think are a bit optimistic, it shouldn't be reading any more than 265 off of stage 1 mapping but hey ho, its winter and good inlet temps can be achieved. Rolling road lottery and all that :)

+20-30hp from JBS....Haha you're having a giraffe aint you, JKM are underpowered by a good 20hp for mapped cars.
