those numbers are a tad large for stage 1 as its generic so the numbers are pretty much set (see the cc web site). where did you get it done and dyno'd.

im havin an ihi turbo, fmic, fuel pump, injectors, fpr, stage 3 cc map , stage 2 clutch, fitted in january and they said id be seeing 330 bhp, so seeing your figures i will be going elsewhere to check the bhp cos yours seem very exagirated.

Hmmmmm
The BHP sounds a bit keen/on the strong side. What dyno are these guys getting these results from?

From my experince, its best to get the power figure verified at an alternative dyno location.

People like being given big numbers and they dont really care if they are accurate or not :headhurt:

From what I've always seen. JBS's rolling road always read atleast 20-30 bhp too high, which is why I'm doubt this 279 claim, and can't wait for the standard figure. Ho hum, just funny how these claims aren't met on any other rollers.

i agree with kev , but im a bit worryed as thats where im going to av the big turbo fitted and they told me 330 bhp no worrys.?

At the end of the day, as long as they fit the turbo correctly, and YOU are happy with how the car drives... Dont worry about the numbers.

When you have run the car for a few months, take it to another dyno and get a power figure.

330? Here's an IHI graph of a Cupra R running stage 3. Only manages 324. Now, I presume the IHI your going for is only stage 1? This is the best RR I know off, and standard cars all hit standard figures... http://www.jkm.org.uk/performance/M...15 09 07/Seat Cupra RR 15 09 07 Plots/KXG.gif

Here's a Skoda Octavia, with an IHI conversion... http://www.jkm.org.uk/performance/M...21 07 07/Briskoda Plots 21 July 2007/DR02.gif

Stage 1 IHI... http://www.jkm.org.uk/performance/M...21 07 07/Briskoda Plots 21 July 2007/AV52.gif

I know a lot of people will be unhappy with what I'm producing and saying, but, this is a prime example, the figures they make on there own rollers, are always much higher than others and in many cases a good 25-30bhp.

The very worried thread? Yes I did.

You'll get a million people telling you different things, different power figures etc, and people calling me a liar, but I can keep backing it up all day long.

As mentioned, the main thing is.... how it drives, my key point to you is, don't tell everyone your running 330 etc, because if you go on a rolling road in front of them, and only run 300, the first thing your going to think is, something is wrong with my car and look an arse in front of people.

JBS are good at what they do, but there dyno is seriously optimistic.

Browse through here and look how standard cars hit standard figures, thats a good indication that the dyno's is somewhat accurate, look at all the remapped Cupra R's, that are meant to run 275 with Revo, again, another ambitious claim, none of them can get past 240-250 unless well modified.

Good luck :)
