I have a problem. When driving my Leon as soon as any sort of boost is reached, the car judders and shakes like Im driving on cobbles. This has only started today and is more prominent at low revs.
Ive vagcom'd it and found MAF and N75 valve problems but thats probably because I unplugged them to try and source the problem. Ive cleared them off and they did not return.

Anyone had any similar problems like my symptoms above? Its getting worse and the car is almost undriveable even with the N75 unplugged running 4psi!

You checked for any misfires for the coil packs? whats the spark plugs saying. dont think the turbo could go that easily.

Its totally normal until it starts boosting.... then I get shaken out of my seat almost. No other fault codes cam up apart from ones mentioned above :(

Had same issue as you, when the coil pack went, no fault were recorded. car sounded like a chav subaru :D No 3 coil needed replacing. the car didnt boost at all, must be the limp mode.

anyone know the difference between a 006 and a 007? 007 tends to be the one thats used on our cars..

anything happen before it started playing up?

checked all your pipe work for security?
any smoke?

how long has the 006 been on it? might be worth ringing forge about its suitability...

if its a boost only problem then look at the dv first and pipes. check your airfilters clean and theres no blockages.

I think the 007p is slighly smaller and has a screw on cap, and the 006 has a bolt on cap, not sure from the picture if thats a plastic piston, the 007p have metal.

You may want to do a quick pen test for leaks.

whats the vac level on idle on the gauge?

Do they use a diafram ? if so it might have a small split in it
I had a Rover 220 turbo before my LCR and it was always spliting them
this did seem to affect top end boost and the whooosh noise changed to a stuter.

Update on this.....

After checking every vacuum pipe I unplugged the coil packs 1 by one and on all but 1 the engine started juddering. So coil pack no.3 is ****ed. Luckily Im a VAG parts specialist by trade and a new one is peanuts. :D
Now all I need to do is clean it, dirtiest Leon award goes to me :)
