Polo GTI Engine

How good a fit would a mk5 polo engine be in a mk2 ibiza? Like engine mounts in the same places etc.

I was thinking about maybe trying something different engine wise with my 1.4. Was thinking of binning the 1.4 engine and putting something else in.

Its only a thought, not planning to do it in the next few months.

Thats what i was thinking but i was just wondering about the Polo gti engine in it. I was thinking of the polo cos it would be something alittle different to do.

It's far from it to be honest... had a shot of a Mk5 Polo GTI a couple of years ago and found my Toledo TDI more fun to drive!

VW caddy is the small van isn't it?? Im sure i saw one of those with a mk2 ibiza gti lump in it. And im sure it was painted the bronze/copper colour.

I was thinking of something similar myself but with added charger. The lump must be lighter and is abit more modern than the ABF, variable valve timing and all that jigery if i recall..........its something different

could do a Polo GTi engine on ITBs, or might aswell ABF it on ITBs, or a charger
