gone to put some wishbones on today and the bolt that goes through the front of the wishbone on the gear box side ive managed to knock the nut of and its inside the casing behind it .

is there any way to get to this with out taking the bottom of the car to pieces as it looks like the bolt near it witch id have to take of is the bottom engine mount

Im trying to picture it mate. Can you get to it if you pull the wishbone back out?

If you do need to undo the engine mount, just get a trolley jack underneath the sump (in a hard place, with some wood too) and take the weight off, then jack up. I had to do this on my 4mo to get the drivers side front bolt in/out as the sump is too big and gets in the way.

The ones on my olf werent Nyloc, neither were the ones on my mates.

Whips - I think I can picture it now. Im not sure its a nut as such, more of a threaded portion, if you get what I mean. You may have pushed the threaded portion out. You got any pics yet?

The front wishbone bolts through the subframe. You may have to drop / remove the subframe to sort this.

Pictures paint a thousand words ;)

You should be able to access it with a magnet or something, looking from the pic. If not then drop the subframe, as DPJ says. Its only about 4 bolts isnt it?

While youre there change your dogbone mount, and ARB bushes (if not already done). Did you fit standard wishbones too? Or did you change the bushes for Poly's?

on the sub frame there is another piece bolted on to it underneath looking at that pic it looks like it just protects the bar what runs from one end to the other (is that another anti roll be or somthing) is it just a casing and does it bolt of with out having to suport the engine or any thing else could **** up have you any guides as im thick and just learning about car repairs.

has any one got a full pic of the underneath of a leons engine as my phones **** and wont take pics at the moment

Yes its the ARB mate, and the two clack rubber bits on it near the part you are having issues with are the ARB bushes.

I havent removed a subframe before, but would suggest a trolley jack and wood under you engine to hold it up. Someone will confirm though.
