Tyre Pressure

Checked my tyres yesterday, 1st time since collecting her in October

Front - 26psi

Rear - 22psi


Put 29psi in the rears & 31psi in the front as per the fuel cap, blimey is the ride hard now ..........

Hope to see an increase in MPG too, but noticed a decrease in grip on greasy round abouts

Pressure must have been like this since october then IF your tyre pressure warning hasn't made itself known.

Have you set the tyre pressure gauge to your new pressure???

The tyre pressue warning will only go off on a sudden loss of pressure, not a gradual drop.

Button was pressed & I'm going to monitor them weekly now for a few weeks, bit stupid have a pressure monitor if it only goes off when you get puncture, & not a slow one

Fond mine to be the same (as in gone down), pumped mine up higher than you as I carry people / kit.

Have also found a lot less grip on the roundabouts .... but now they are fun!!!!!

Not quite, the system will flag up a error if the revolutions on one axle wheel is greater than the other axle wheel [flatter tyre will give more revolutions] if both tyres are of the same pressure/revolutions even if wrong then it will not pick up a error - unless it goes outside preset tolerances which I'm not privy to

My pressure system must be special then. If I add air to a tyre or let air out, the light comes on before I've even let the handbrake off.

Got those wheels too, think its 32 front, 29 rear from the manual, hope this helps,

Your tyre pressure is in relation to your cars weight and weight spread.
Doesn't matter what tyres you fit the pressure will always be the same

Found my car had a puncture today when I got to work, really soft tyre, so no rim damage (phew)


Fooking low pressure light didnt come on though


Not really impressed by that function

Had a faulty valve a while back, zoomin along motorway (bing bing), pulled into garage and found it had dropped to around 16-18 psi, so it does work.

I guess my 35 psi on the front is too high, maybe thats why I get so much wheel spin!
