LCR splitter - just aesthetics?

Had a good read through the searches and considering attaching an LCR splitter to my facelift LC bumper - in platinum grey.

Apart from the looks, will it actually do anything apart from getting scraped!

Aesthetically very nice - all agreed - but does it improve down force or anything else for that matter - airflow alsewhere? Not just for tarts!?

Looks nice but is this yet another step to an LCR clone?

Fitting apparently easy - raid the self tappers tin.

if it wasn't for the splitter on my LCR i'd probably be on my second or third bumper by now.

As I understand it, the splitter just clips onto the bumper on the LCR. Apparently the centre pegs are a sod to snap in though - two methods I've heard of are to either whack it REALLY hard with the palm of your hand or use a jack with a small piece of packing to push it into place.
