nice car looking really good, wheres the guide, I can see the pics obviously but wondered if your wrote something on here about any problems. How did you make a hole in the light covers, who has a drill bit that wide!!?

LoL. :)

I used a hole saw, which is pretty much as it sounds. It's a saw for drilling holes - you attach it to the drill end and it makes a perfect sized hole - I bought a set on eBay for about £8 and that had various sizes. One was perfect for the HID's.

I can't remember where I wrote a guide, it was very breif although I don't think a guide is required - just position the ballasts, fit the bulbs, click the connections together then secure everything in place.

I didn't use a wiring harness though - I'm aware the concequences but never had a problem on either of my cars and none of my friends have either so to save the hassle I gave that a miss.

Tell me about it, much much better.

I've now also got a Seat Sport upper strut brace to fit - I'll probably do that tomorrow as I need to move the boost controller out the way first of all.

After seeing Matt's photo of his Yellow Sport with the Cupra lights fitted I've changed my mind and I'm also fitting a set of rear Cupra lights tomorrow too! :)

Are you sure? With an FR and a Cupra next to each other I couldn't see a difference.

Here they are on my car...

CHR15 B,
Your ibiza cupra heater swithes, did you originally have the unit without the lcd display. If so when you fitted the lcd display did it work staright away or was there a wiring harness required.

The heater switches are the ones on the vents mate, not the climate control unit. They have a red trim on them rather than just plain black.

Cool... I'll dig out the manual and see if I can change it - I'd much rather have a 24-Hour clock than a 12-Hour one.
