A non-turbo auto Supra? Obviously a 3.0 straight-six?

A conversation I had with a colleague has left me wondering.

Opinions, please.

keep more of a pace than if it were either of the turbo versions
but no, the supra would pull away slowly

Also assuming the Supra's top-end would dominate the LC?

Something I've noted is that my returned quotes for a non-turbo SZ auto Supra are only £50 less than the quote for a single or twin turbo model. Madness.

Haha. No, no. The GT-4 is still my first choice (and only real one). I can't believe the quotes Direct Line returned. Less than £700 for a mods-declared GT-4 producing 300BHP.

I was going to consider a part-ex this side of Christmas... but I've had to be realistic and do it in the new year. Gives me more time to find a minter, anyway.

Painful to see gorgeous examples come and go on Piston Heads though.....

Fantastic, RikH. Much appreciated mate. I'm happy spending about 6 grand on one, not including my part-ex LC.

I'd love one in either black or white.. preferably tuned to the magic 300BHP.. (only to save me the time).

IC seems to be top-engine mounted, judging by the bonnet-intake. But saying that, I've seen front-end shots of these cars.. clearly with either a massive rad or IC visible through the grill.

I'd say they're top-mounted, like the boxer engine on the Impreza.

RikH? :)

GT4 uses a charge cooler, its water and a rediator basically, and yeh its on top of the engine.

Which would explain the spray-system that is installed inactively on WRC models?

Things are beginning to make sense now. What f****d my understanding up was the fact I've seen either a modified charge-cooler or a top-mounted IC. It had the HKS logo sprayed onto what looked like a dissipation fins on an IC. Made me think perhaps intercoolers sat under the bonnet vent. (Think Impreza).

Ta BCM. Much appreciated.

you could be in luck, as i live in W.Yorkshire!!!!!!!!
aside from the rancid aftermarket spoiler it looks ok from pics and description

for ref-all 205's use charge cooler
as did the 185 carlos sainz, the normal 185 (known as a2a-air to air) had top mounted IC under the vent.
205 has a rear facing vent to disipate heat as opposed to 185 which was forward facing to draw cold air in

that gt4oc forum member who has looked after his car very well. Thats alot of nice white ones around and if you can afford, its a really good time of year to buy.....but not to sell!

Anything down south i'm willing to have a look at with you if you want an extra opinion

I'd personnaly buy the white gt-4 on that page. Lovely OZ 18inch alloys and a rare recaro interior. Needs a new radiator soonish but its a lovely car thats looks a clean import with low miles, plus its a facelift with the nicer rear lights.

Buy it............or i will!
