hi,

jus in the process of putting HIDs in, and im trying to take the bumper off to make a tidy job of it.

taken all the screws out (6 underneath, 5 each wheel arch, 1 behind each fog light section, and 4 on top) Still struggling to get it off though)

its a pd 130 if that makes a difference, but im a bit stumped!

any help would be great!

You've likely missed a screw somewhere, I'd go over it again and have a good look.

If your happy that all screws are out - get someone at either side and give it a good pull.

My money is on a screw in the arch - thats what I missed on both earlier.

sounds like you have removed all screws to me.. i had my bumper off on saturday to change my headlights.

Iirc, theres 5 in each arch.. 4 obvious the other one less so, just next to the 3rd one up.
4 under the bonnet, 6 under the bumper ( on my car atm anyways, may have been 2 more on my old 1.4 with pre facelift bumpers) 2 in the bumper through the lower grille, 1 each side.

From there it just needs to be pulled off basically, i started at the sides pullling away from the wing panels, then pulled more centrally with increasing effort and it comes off! Be careful with the wires tho, if you have fog lights the wires may not be hugely long, and also the exterior temperature sensor has a fairly short cable too.

Hope this helps :)

sorry didnt reply quicker, got it off, id missed 2, 1 in each wheel arch, made a difference, lol!!!

I put the bolsters underneath, one attached to a bolt on the windscreen washer bottle, just sat nicely next to that, and the passenger side one just sat nicely on one of the metal struts next to the radiator. Got the kit off ebay from hong kong, and the double sided pad that came with it was very strong, so just sat it on that.

I would have taken pictures but was dark and i was getting annoyed, oops. plus no camera!

Chris.

How do you get to the screws inside the bumper (near the fog lights)? Do you need a really long screwdriver to get through the grill? I tried this the other week to change my side lights but gave up in the end.

Really need to get it done this weekend (along with W8 light, glove box light, boot light, Forge 007P and strut brace if they all arrive :))

Glad to hear is wan't too much on a nightmare to find room in the diesel engine bay for fitting i was a bit concerned about that for when i do mine.
