hi
got an lcr and have bought a GT2871R turbo for it and a new intercooler as well as the usual silicone pipes etc and was wondering does anyone know the best uprated injectors for it and will i need to uprate the fuel pump and pressure reg. i know its gonna be remapped which is not an issue.

has anyone got this kit on their lcr and whats the power i can expect?

cheers

Bosch 440cc green injectors. Standard pump okay and sufficient for 350hp. You wont need 4bar FPR with the 440's.

GT2871R.. Big laggy turbo that fits on standard mani is it? Standard mani is restrictive and will stop you going past around 330ish

yeah thats the turbo.
will work well as when in traffic onthe way to work will be out of turbo kicks in around 350 ish
going to get a piper downpipe and at the mo its around 350 which is enough next job is the intercooler, awesome gti gave me either 440 or 550 and there was a set of 550 on ebay so snatched them up

depends on power output you want forge say theirs is good for 300bhp anything over that it doesnt work to good me and a few guys have the pro alloy one which is good for about 650bhp and its a twin pass as opposed to single pass

Standard twin IC's are good for around 300hp, forge FMIC about 400.

Jabba told me to stay away from dual core IC's due to much higher pressure drops. No point in its large cooling capability if its going to lose more pressure as a consequence of being twin pass.

Not personally heard much about the pro alloy cooler nor the testing or research and development of it on the LCR. If its a twin pass, that's a no-no according to jabbasport:)

yet again each tuner to their own, matt who drives an evo had one of these fmic and had the pressure drop but jabba sorted it and installed a boost regulator since then no probs

yet forge mitchy said their ic is good for 300bhp

hasnt been a lot of testing on ours but you look on their site and theres plenty there

Strange as when i enquired about forge FMIC i was told 400. Cant see it being 300 as it would be no better than the standard twins.

There are a few S3/TT's running GTRS eliminators with standard twins at 320/330.

Mines runs good and have no complaints from it :)

true it is strange as i asked the same question as i knew i was going bigger this was when they were doing their group buy and said that

but depends on who you talk to i suppose and also you have an lcr i have lc so not sure if its different or not for the fmic?

Jabba sport developed the cooler with pro alloy ( so I’d doubt they’d recommend against it) and it’s defiantly single pass! It’s thinner than most with a large surface area, which makes it very efficient!
