if your after a good clutch, i would buy one from sachs(race clutch)
get a lightnen flywheel from G60 also
lightnen flywheels will go faster tru revs

how much did that set you back dan? did you get a lightened g60 flyweel?

My standard clutch has done 76k now and will need replacing soon. I don't really think a sachs clutch is necessary unless your going BT. the vr6/g60 combo should be fine for k03s setup I reckon.

my car is a 1.4 and im needing to change the clutch very soon. was wondering what i could put in there instead of a standard jobie ?

would preffer a lighter one to get a very small performance gain. but if its standard then blah... its only a 1.4 and it isnt fast.

Yes mate its fine for that set up. Im not going BT but wanted something that could still handle a fair few horses.

It came in at a shade under £600 including fitting. Brand new VR6 Clutch and re-conditioned g60 flywheel. No its not lightened but its made such a difference.

My original clutch plate was shot. They were gonna put a lightened one on there but there was a fault with the lightened one they had. They said what I have will suffice unless I plan on running mammoth power (which I dont).

My aim is for no more than 250bhp:)

Had it done at Storm Devlopments

Was last rr'd @ 203 bhp but Ive since added a FMIC. I plan on changing the turbo and downpipe and probably not too much else after that. I already have TIP, Cat back, Map etc

i cant find the part number for flywheel i got mine for seat its def off the 2.0l 16v abf which is in the ibiza and is exactly same as g60 one ( you will need to order bolts from seat or vw as well think its 6 to bolt flywheel onto car and 8 for bolting the clutch onto the flywheel. and i have part number for corrado 2.9 vr6 clutch kit from gsf car parts which is 623-1197-00 (£78.50 inc vat) hope this helps.
iv prob still got all part numbers for cambelt change 2 as i did both at same time

I bought a second hand flywheel and got it lightened and balanced by Hotgolf on Club Gti who has done loads and actually does an exhange on them to make it even cheaper.

Flywheel cost me 40 quid.

In the new year i'll finally fit it with my SPEC stage 3 clutch along with my diff.

Checked my receipt and the part numbers arn't listed on there. I got the parts and work done by Storm Developments so im sure if you give them a call they will give you the part numbers.

^^for a dual mass one.. ??^^

The G60/mk3 16v item is single mass and a lot lighter..

I run a Spec stage 3 with lightened single mass flywheel on my otherwise stockish Cupra, works out at a fair enough price to forget about your clutch for a while! whilst giving yourself a noticable performance increase..
