Right, i'm considering getting some new wheels (x mas comming up :p) and i had an idea.. the brakes are red, the car is silver and the theme of the car is pritty much a mixture of those colours plus the black (pillars, mirrors etc)

I wanted some nice lightweight alloys, and came across some nice black ones with a red lip (to match brakes)

i think its a marmite thing here but im in two minds.. i have done a QUICK photoshop..

what you reckon?

ps : I think the car needs lowering !!!

pps : These wheels are probably half the weight of the standard ones ! and are 18"

I don't understand the red thing on the wheels but they suit the car and with the lighter weight, should help it push along nicely :)
its a jap thing i think, seems popular with the drifting culture etc , not that thats of any help to the cupra.. but the lights and brakes are red and just break it up a bit rather than just some solid black rims...

apparently , quoting the website..

"The lightest mainstream alloy wheel on the market (in 18x8") "

Im still racking my brains too regarding wheels. I want to change the wheels in the spring but don't know what to go for at the moment.

I want something lighter weight too as the standard wheels are made out of lead i think. :cartman: They have to be twice the weight of the Leon R's alloys, they took very little effort to lift. But the Cupra's almost give me a hernia last time i took them off.

I've been seriously considering BBS RX2's, they have that Euro look I think suits this style of shape, bit like Golfs. There on my shortlist at least. But they ain't half pricey even for 18's,. But you get what you pay for i guess.

The BBS's look spot on.

Z - you saw the BBS's we had in the showroom right? THey'd look good on yours :)

Yep they are under consideration too :D But I'm not changing the wheels until the spring, want to avoid inflicting them to road salt. I aim to keep the Cupra wheels for winter wheels.

Did you read my PM Andy, the one asking about the KW dampers :p
