As title really, i just bought a Sony NVU-82t sat nav but dont want to stick it to the windscreen as its a thief magnet.
Preferably trying to get it somewhere low key adn not too easy to spot from outside.....

Is it possible to cut and make a section in the centre of the dash to mount it in? Any other ideas welcome! :D

rather you than me trying to cut the dash apart!

can't you make a holder in the DIN slot under the stereo, it's just a wasted space in mine, would be more low key than the windscreen?
but hey i rely on aa routefinder on t'internet lol, so i can't say a lot :)

can see this leading to another I built a super carPC thread.

I was actually thinking- can i mount a thermonuclear warhead into the boot? Maybe use the sunroof as a sort of launch pad type thing.....

Thats nothing! Mine has a webcam mounted into the wheel and 5 squillion sensors to monitor absolutely everything on it! It also automatically connects to NASA and downloads iTunes!

Thats nowt....I can actually drive mine :D

On topic, not sure how heavy your satnav is, but I use small patches of stickyback velcro to 'stick' my ipod to the dash. I just pull it (ipod) off when I leave the car.
