I take it you have actually seen the new VW sat-nav systems?
there nothing like the old unit.. oh with a tomtom you dont get a hard disk drive, dvd player, on dash navi instructions/audio information, tmc updates, massive perfect colour screen, able to play music from sd card, car integrated bluetooth features, mp3 and wma playback, etc, etc
Have you seen the tomtoms, both of mine tomtom go 700 and tomtom go 910 both have hard drive, the better one is the 910. oh and both of mine have remote controls and i can use them in ANY car. I can take it on holiday etc. i can use it when walking, cycling or as a passenger in a friends motor....
dvd player, well i can buy one that goes in the car with two huge screens or a drop down screen, plus a tomtom for less than the built in sat nav....and it works while your driving, the built in WONT so whats the point, who watches films when they are parked? virtually pointless.
Music from sd card? download music straight to hard drive with mine or yes you can play music from sd card with 710 and 510 models
intergrated bluetooth, yep
mp3 - yep
etc etc o and most important the sat nav actually works and acuratly unlike most built in stuff, i dont need a disc to update as i can do it on the run, i can download speed cameras for the whole of europe on the run, i can get traffic updates and automatic rerouting to avoid delays on the run,
but like i say, best of all is the actual sat nav software which is second to none.
but then its all down to personal choice.....or having to much money to waste.
From what i understand the real reason most get the in dash effort is cause it looks good........so do big boobs but i aint buying them......lol
