Ok factcatman and eternal rage, 1. How do you still have windows in your cars? my slightly smaller build in my fiat used to pop the rear window out! 2. The mk4 has loads of interior rattles, does that not just pick up every little rattle?

LOL, i would imagine it would take a lot to pop a window out!

I have spent a while placing strategic bits of sound deadening where the rattles are worst-
The front and back door cards, the window motor in the front doors, the plastic trim on the boot door and the roof liner

Probably cause it was a fiat lol. Funny because its true.:p

But I have been thiking the same lately, what are the chances of my window falling out when I go more powerful.

i think with the fiat the biggest problem was the rear window was held in with a rubber seal and not bonded like most are now!

1)Bondage!!! As in they are bonded windows!!! Lol, they arent going anywhere fast.... will take more than your average subs to take it out. Had a couple of Alpine X-Types in mine (1000W RMS a piece) and the boot tried opening itself everything the bass kicked in, but window looked right as rain...

2)In the Mk4 Ibiza and the Leon there is a "vent" inside the inner bumper bodywork(from the bumper void into the boot void). It has plastic slats that are very loose and with all the air moving around due to the subs they do rattle an awful lot. They are surplus to requirements, can just be removed. Not too painful to remove on time or difficulty iirc . This straight away will be a lot better on the old rattle front...

Lift up the floor to get to your spare wheel and you will see it

Thats the one :)
You remeber whether there was one centrally or one each side, cant remember off hand...

Other rattles are as mentioned the Wiper, which can be replaced for a aero style wiper, softens the rattle, or removed if you are hard-core for no rattle at all...

...also make sure your numberplate is not screwed down, instead lots of adhesive strips from the sticky pad type fixing kit... much quieter...

...if the boot lid itself rattles, the two rubber twisty things near the corners of the tailgate can be adjusted (when boot open) to hold the bootlid slightly further away from the locking latch (when it is closed) so they dont vibrate against each other.

These are all little things, but if you want it right, dont cut corners...
