The problem is time and distance, I live just north of J27 M1, but I do drop down to Kent from time to time, mainly Ashford/Whitstable areas, but I can't afford be without my car for 2-3 weeks, 7 days tops I'm afraid... but if you could make one like this:

Then I might be persuaded otherwise....

bearing in mind those figures I quoted are standard, and I think most people here would have a remap before they get an exhaust!

:)

Ive come over from Renaultsport and the ethos for Renault is to get all your mod's ( filter/induction, exhaust, ect ) done BEFORE you get it remapped , it helps pull all your mods together!

Is this true for VAG car's or it doesn't make a differance which way round you do thing's?

Thanks

A stage 1 remap does not really require an exhaust :)

Jetex were totally different in their handling of getting a car for 2 days to do their system. They really could not do enough to get a car across to Sweden. I really do recommend that if anyone fancies a trip to Sweden and owns a Cupra, that they think about doing it pretty soon, as you will get a free 3" turbo back exhaust system provided you go with an OEM style tail piece :)

Well... I'm fitting this system to my FR. It is also 3'' and fits Golf GTI and FR.

This is actually Jetex system.... Simons in Sweden makes all systems for them. And as because they probably exactly the guys in need of Cupra then my question is - doesn't that one fit also Cupra? Whats the difference there (besides turbo ofcourse)?

It's the bit marked original in the schematic that's the problem..., also I'd replace 040-35R with a straight through pipe.... Nice back box tho'...

The turbo is different, and this may cause more noise with more air flowing back out the turbo. Also, the single oval exit on the Cupra has not yet been done by aftermarket exhaust companies as they always (wrongly IMO) assume that everyone who wants to change an exhaust on a new car would something like that one above, with twin pipes on both sides, which in my humble opinion, is way over the top.

If Milltek do it as close to OEM as they can, I will be a happy camper. All I really want it an exhaust with a nice rip, not too loud, and one that is not going to fall to bits after 2 winters.

Edit: The K04 twin scroll in the Cupra is not really a "small" turbo when you consider that in conjunction with a 3" turbo back, panel filter and remap, that 330ish bhp is possible.

I am not going to bother mapping mine now though. I reckon the performance is adequate, and the rip I am hoping for from the non resonated system should make it sound as well as it goes :)

Have you thought of a Carbonio Intake?, really improves the torque and sound, I may be able to help with a reasonably price lightly used one :D

I will certainly be giving you a call when I am down mate. It will be interesting to see the difference between the two cars :)

Edit: - I have a nice downpipe that would fit your car ;)

spoke to him on his way back up the road, seems very impressed with the 3" d/pipe and catback system, oh and his new carbonio.
