Hi folks, ive got a set of Konin FSD's and Eibach Pro Springs to go on my LC but aint had a chance to fit them yet (been sitting in the house for months and its driving me nuts now). Just reading the suspension Thread and come across this from Neil C:

"From what i can recall the only difference between coilovers for an R and not is the inclusion of a plate on the damper to fix the arb too. A couple of manufacturers (kw is one, cant remember the other) include this on their kits for both R and T. A few of the peeps over on the mkiv forum fit kw v1's so they can fit the R32/LCR front arb to remove potential rubbing of the driveshaft as it works out about the same as buying other coilovers then having to shell out for a extra bent neuspeed arb."

does this mean that i can fit the kit to my car or do i have to buy a LCR ARB in order to fit it. Dont wanna strip my suspension and find that i cant fit it. Anyone know?

Good luck with it mate.

Could you post your opinion on the new set-up once you've installed it.

I'm toying with idea of buying the same. Any opinions will help make up my mind.

cheers Ruddmeister, but as this kit has the carriers, when i want to get the ARB's then i can buy the LCR ones? :)

Sheffboy: no worries il stick a comment in, got a few other little bits to go on but trying to do it stage by stage to see the difference with each mod. How do you find the dog bone mount fella? Vibration ok or to much?

The jurys out at the moment mate. I've covered 200 miles with it on and its still vibrating a bit, although its tightened the front end up a treat. Strangely it has improved the feel of the gearbox, which is nice :funk:

cheers, i think il invest in one in the near future cos its an easy/cheap mod that seems to have good benefits. Just wanna make sure that the car is sporty but still stays reasonably comfortable.
Il ask you the same thing in a month fella and see if there is a verdict :)

right suspension is all fitted (the front shocks take one hell of a whack to get then out of the arm) and landed with the finished setup. Its not as low as i expected but looks really good with the 19's. Handling is greatly improved when just driving normally and not to harsh and when you do start chucking it about its exactly what u want and i have total trust in throwing it into a roundabout now. chased a lupo GTI round some twisties earlier and he couldnt lose me so cant be bad as they are pretty rapid little things. Going to wait until i am used to the suspension now before fitting the upper and lower strut braces so i can notice what difference they make. Dogbone then and moe power :D
Overall very very pleased [B)]
