Why not.. Well since they are £330 from forge before fitting, diesel engines do not gain anything by fitting a dump valve, they do nothing but make a noise and the fact that even the average person on the street will hear that you are driving a diesel then here that you have fitted a dump valve to and think that the driver of the car is a pleb would be a good reason for me but i never told him not to as it`s his car to do with what he wants.
As to my car what with me being thick and all that explain to me why fitting propane and NOS if set up right should screw up my engine ?

dumpvalve

Funny, the 2.0 170 diesel engine has a butterfly on the inlet, alot like a petrol car, so it would benefit greatly from a dumpvalve. Could be a waste of money in some peeps eyes, but then again i want one.
Sure you have spent a fortune on your 330 bhp oil burner. which is still a diesel tractor. Most peoples view of you would be a pleb spending all that money on a combine harvester, when everyone else would just buy a s4 an have done with it.
Just out of interest, who did the work on your car?

There is a FIAT Stilo diesel round this way with what sounds like a bus brake during throttle let off . For being a diesel, it actually sounds quite fruity too

forge, how is the dump valve actuated, as throttle is electronic, does it wire into loom, or do i need to connect something to pedal?? How much are they?

Its all down to personal choice, and slagging off each others cars isn't a very mature way to put your point across ;)
Theres a link below relating to the Forge Dumpvalve on an FR TDI 150.
Makes interesting reading:

I've heard some and thought they sounded a bit chavvy personaly, but that is my opinion. If you want one then i hope you don't have the same probs as the lad in that link had.
There may be a couple of vids of Diesel dumpvalves on Youtube ?
