Was speaking to beattie the other day about it My ibiza cupra is standard bar a few things performance wise..

So far ive got

Huge pipercross Induction kit,
Forge 007p DV
AEB Turbo intake pipe.
Recon/low mileage K03 to put on..

My car hasnt yet been remapped to stage 1 but when speaking to beattie he said i could go straight to stage 2 if i get a Full exhaust system(milltek Ect) And one of these at the bottom off the page (Manifold)

http://vagworx.co.uk/products.php?category=5

Is this right? Would it be alright to go 2 stage 2 with them modes then get my FMIC fitted afterward or Should i get it done before?

Thanks

personally i would have got all the bits and a k03s then gone stg2. But yeh you can run a stg2 with what you have plus a turbo back. But a FMIC is a wise investment ;)

The map may have to be toned down because of the lack of cooling but im not sure how APR go about that with there maps.

Dont have to have the mani but would be a nice extra

im am running APR stage 2 and u need the following to see the best results

induction kit
FMIC
bigger downpipe cat back system
d/v

u dont need a 4Bar fuel regulator as its mapped to a 3 as standard, id really suggest getting the downpip and cat+ exhust as there will be know point going to stage 2, that is what awesome gti told me

When he says downpipe its the pipe that connectes to your mani and mates up with your cat back system most uprated downpipes include a 100/200cell sports cat.

With your mods excluding a FMIC you may reach around the 200bhp but it would proberly get so hot the ECU would pull back, with the front mount i would expect 210/20bhp.

I pulled 226bhp 240lb/ft on a k03 with all the mods.

So theres no real need in that manifold then?

So milltek turbo back and larger downpipe..

Were can i get these from

p.s will that AEB tip fit a ko3s? If it does then il go for a ko3s instead off a k03?

What else is needed for ko3s to work?
thanks

A full turbo back would include your downpipe and race cat. Ask around in the sponser section and see who can do you the best price, blueflame direct are supposed to be pretty good although i have a full miltek.

If you TIP fits the k03 then it will fit a k03s (correct me if im wrong). If you can get a k03s aswell as the turboback and FMIC then do it. But id certinatly leave the k03s until you have all the other goodies to go with it.

JKM are offering 10% off on miltek exhaust systems at the moment.

Stage 2 Hardware Requirements

For 1.8T Transverse. Golf/Jetta/Bora/A3/S3/TT/Leon/Ibiza, etc

Required:
Turbo back exhaust with testpipe or highflow catalytic convertor (2.5"-3.0" diameter exhaust recommended)

Recommended:
Cold Air intake (from stock MAF to front of car)
Turbo inlet pipe (Samco turbo inlet hose)
Front-mounted Intercooler (This is a BIG improvement for all cars)

This is taken from the revo section although i belive that most stg2 maps require the same hardware.

For some maps you may require a 4bar FPR but best to check with the dealer first as this varys from map to map.
For a full turbo back i would think you would be looking at the £500/£600 mark.

Superb stuff cheers benny..

Ive got the AEB turbo in take pipe is that alright?
I think from what ive searched APR dont need a FPR but i could be wrong..

Im gonna get that FMIC from the for sale thread and just take it fromt here really,
Im gonna keep the K03 as id be happy with them figure that you got or there about tbh..

Cheers..

what pressure does it peak on stage 2? i've been considering this map with apr but was told to get turbo back dp.cat fitted first. is there a noticable difference on the standard k03?

This is all you would need to know on how to install the ECU, but you would proberly need it logged and set up via a SPS3. Somthing sombody in your area would do for a few beer tokens i expect ;)
