right ive had a problem thats slightly bugging me when i take my foot off the clutch the pedal sits at a point where it has released fully but after a few seconds or i pull it with my foot it moves higher another inch...

now i removed the covering from the footwell to see a small white box with what looks like some sort of pressure switch? now it doesnt appear to sit very far down so im wondering if someone can take a picture of theres so i know how it should sit. just incase this is whats causing the annoyance...

thanks in advance

I've got this too, every since clutch pedal broke. Got used to it now.

I'd like to know if anyone knows the answer, only happens some times.

That could possible be your pressure switch for your brake pedal??

theres no dispute as to what the pressure switch does... just how it should sit basically from what i can see theres a metal bracket above the clutch pedal with a hole in it. now theres a plastic pressure switch with has a white box.. about an inch and a half of circular tube with rings round it (so it looks like it can be adjusted by distance) then the pressure switch at the end of the tube...

im trying to work out how far this tube should sit through the hole in the bracket... i feel if i pushed it right down it would stop the pedal coming up.. but if i move it.. will it affect anything .. so need a picture of a properly fitted one to be sure..

Ive had a deek at mine and it appers to look like the pressure switch on the brake aswell.

I know with the brake switch you push it in as far as it will go and then push down on your brake pedal and it then settles its self where its should sit.

The one on the clutch how ever appears to be a threaded switch which screws in, i measured my one at 25mm and my cluth works fine and i have never had any problems with it.

I had the same problem as your describing with a 2000 model ibiza sport i had but i sold it with the problem.

Hope this is of help mate?

The 25mm is from the metal locating lug to the end of the thread?
