Ariel Issues

Hi all,

Before you say anything i have already done a search but none of them help.

I basically have the standard stereo in my ibiza and had a tacky boy racer bee sting ariel. I had no signal so i decided to take off the beesting and put up an original. I only could get the mk3 one, but didnt fit.

After reading treads about the S2000 ariel being a good fit and looking good i went to honda to get one. The bloke there was very helpful (only wish seat dealerships were this helpful) he went with me to check the fitting. The S2000 and Cvic ariel did not fit, he then went round the whole car lot ripping off all ariels to see if any did fit...But none did, the male tread does not reach the female thread.

So i need to know is that do i need to adapt the s2000 ariel or is it the fact that my base is buggered?

Sorry for the essay, but it is really buggin me as i have only one tape, and one station (radio 1)that works and fed up of both!!!

Thanks

I suspect that you've got the same problem that I have and the thread inside your aerial base is stripped. If you get an M5 bolt and try to screw it into the base you'll soon find out whether this is the case!
