I think the obvious part of that story is the question mark in the title.... he's not publically signed for SEAT next year, equally - they've not confirmed their plans for 2008 either (though it's not rocket science)

the fact that they tested the 4 top drivers in the Cupra's is part of the prize package for 2007, they were always going to do that.

Darren was there early on to shake down both cars, JP was there all day.

I expect DT to run in 2008
I hope that either he grows some racing balls, or they get someone with ready grown.

To suceed in anything in 2008, SEAT must have a) new cars b) two top drivers c) the best team (again) - not a repeat of 2005 where they were spread too thin.

Consistancy for drivers is key, so no split drives. no pay drives (as this opens you up to sucky drivers)

This is all my opinion clearly, based on guestimates

Darren Turner leaving SEAT?
According to our information Darren Turner is on his way out of SEAT Sport UK for next season after two BTCC-seasons with the squad. Turner, a winner of the prestigious BRDC McLaren Autosport Young Driver of the Year award in 1996, joined BTCC and SEAT Sport UK in 2006 and has driven two seasons for the team. After a single-seater career that included two years as a testdriver for McLaren in F1 he drove two seasons in DTM followed by a few seasons in FIA GT before joining BTCC.

He has three wins and eight podiums from 45 BTCC-races and finished sixth in this years championship. It's unclear where Darren Turner will go and who will replace him at SEAT. SEAT Sport UK tested the top four drivers from the SEAT Cupra support class at Rockingham earlier this week, where BTCC-regulars Jason Plato and Darren Turner was on hand to give advice
