I have a 2.0 tdi Altea Xl Stylance.Does anyone know the radio model as I need this to change the harness on my ice link plus.

Hi mattjazz,

those original headunits are called CD1/CD2/CD3 depending on the functionality regarding number of speakers, steeringwheel controls, bluetooth-compatible etc.

The internal partnos are:
5P2 035 152 (for the "simple" unit)
5P2 035 186 (for the highend unit, ie. CD3)

You should tell by the ordering-form, which radio is mounted ... or be foolhardy and check for yourself at the backend of the radio:

... better let your dealer remove the unit for you, he's got the special tools ... see linked picture #7 (btw a Uk Altea) or the 4 "sticks" in the diagram.

afaik RCD300 / RCD500 are the technically identical radio-units from VW (SEAT just called them different and put a stylish cover on 'em) ... while RNS200 - 500 are navisystem generations ...

but still, how shall we know, what unit your Altea came with?
Stylance doesn't inevitabely mean highend radio ...
