cool. we all have our opinions. In all honesty I'mm 99% going down the Leon route just think it will be a TDi FR or Cupra, it doesn't make sense to sell mine and go for something which will be almost as much to run in terms of fuel.

oh the seats are very nice, but i am very picky when it comes to dashboard, plastics and the overall cabin 'feel'. probably explains why i have never owned a japanese car, despite rating them everso highly for reliability. i just think the build is a bit pap.
imo the plastics in subs, hondas, toyotas etc are just hideous in comparison with the vags.

agree 100%

What sort of mpg were you seeing in the DC5? I can get 37mpg from my LCR :)

Blimey mate! Is that on the back of a lorry? lol! Mine is normally about 28/29 mpg over a tankfull but I don't think that's bad for some seriously spirited driving! Just seems so comfortable going quickly, I'd hate to upset it!

LOL, I'm doing a lot of mileage now so I have to drive like miss daisy or end up spending half my wages on petrol! The remap has helped mpg quite a bit!

That's interesting, i've heard that before, not gonna take this thread off topic but i guess it's due to the engine being less stressed at speed, as in it can do 60 say easier than it did before!?!

Blimey :-o You must have a light foot... Seems like it defeats the object to have a car like the LCR and drive economically?

I got... at best EVER... 32mpg over a 130mile journey with my mother in the car... so regular smooth driving.. no overtaking etc..

Average town/A- road/b-road .. booting it a bit and pottering a bit (basically normal driving) 27mpg max.

If you want to go for a proper drive: 15-20mpg at best.

Re-map it, and cruising mpg will improve, but the flip side is rubbish mpg with the foot down.

Enjoy the LCR though... they are great despite running cost. All fast cars cost allot anyway; it's the nature of the beast
