Welcome to the forum robjnr - let us know how you get on with the car, either way I'm sure you'll be happy with it.

What rash said pretty much clears everything up :)

Ignore the "keyboard gangsters" on the forum also :p

Not an awful lot to look out for on such a new car, just the usual as highlighted by rashcupra...

right, went for a nice long test drive today and this was the first ibiza i've driven,

i don't know if i had my hopes up to much but this one was priced at 10grand and had 39000 miles on it, all i can say is that when i was driving in it, it didn't feel like i was in a 10grand car does that make sense,

i really wanted to like it but there was something in my mind saying you could buy such a nicer car with the money i was gonna splash out on the ibiza,

"waits for a shooting :rifle:"

don't want to start an arguement or anything but that was my opinion

what year/model/engine did you drive?

thing is you need to ask yourself, what other car is going to go as well as this and have the same goodies on it for less money

an S3 is in mind,

just coudn't justify why it was worth 10grand IMHO,

opened the glove box and that fell out in my hand, adjusted the mirrors and 10 mins later they'll be looking at the floor,
it did go well though, it was wet and wheels was spinning in second everytime the turbo kicked it

If you want something which is much better quality for similar money, look at a Leon FR/Cupra TDI 150.

It might not feel as nippy as the Ibiza - but it feels much more solid inside.

If I'm honest, the Mk1 Leon is a much better car than the Ibiza Mk4.

Doesn't sound like the car was in very good condition if the glove box was falling apart and the mirrors were not staying where they should. I would go and look at another to get a second opinion.

good luck whatever you get. :D

sorry this one was gray mate,

Mr Cellotape:- there was 2 on there forecourt and i looked around both, it wasn't the fact that the glove box came out in my hand or the mirrors wasn't working properly that i didn'tlike it,

it was the fact i didn't feel as though i was driving a 10000 car, just didn't feel special driving it,

Are you kidding me? :p TBH, the interior is a little low rent to say the least. My Bro's Pug 207 is better built and it's bloody French!

Get a Grip! PUG 207!!!!!

207 is newer gen than the MK4 so if the French cannot make a car with a better interior after looking at all the competition for 5 years + then they would have to give up.

PS PUGEOT have not made a good car since the 205 GTI.

My interiors not falling to bits and doesn't feel cheap. Go look at a Vauxhall if you want those traits.
