well its a common problem thing, you say u r buying a second hand Cupra then it might well have came with many of those faults, so you could start buy checking for them on the car, check for the uneven tread issue mentioned in that thread. Other than that check the history and take it for a decent test drive listen for whistle noice and nocking especialy as they are trademark noices from seats.

All of this could be found very easy with a search, I dont know what else you expect us to say really. people ask this sort of thing every week.

O I also hear parkers etc do "buying guides" this is a car owners forum, so by definition people who have "bought" a car.

just check for accident damage and bumps/scrapes mate, it will be under warranty so no problems really, just give all the buttons and switches a fiddle

you see I dont come here either to rip apart people at half 11 at night for there spelling. But chav speak is just pointless, anyway I gave u my best answer to the question you asked and tbh if this is the appreciation people get from you then I doubt u will get on with many people

i'm NOT a chav and i don't txt speak, take some of your own advice,

think you find 'u' is spelt 'you' and 'r' is spelt 'are'

sorry but i'm not having someone judge me from behind a computer screen,

only judge me when you've actualy met me,

robjnr welcome to the site

not off to the best of starts here  if we all stick to non text format everyone can understand and keep the older people happy :hide: :bleh:
the common faults faq thread that guiness showed you is the perfect thread for your question you can take everyone's common faults and look out for these problems when your looking round your ibiza

fogged up lights
rear washer pipe (not working)
rattly dashboard
windnoise from mirrors, door seals ect
door catch open close sensor
(timing chain) on the 1.2's
clunking rear suspension
uneven tyre wear

these are the main problems people have but dont let this put you off you get a GREAT car for your money!!! and this is the best car forum!
