Vacuum hose

Can anyone explain to me where the small hose that comes off the top of the DV goes to? It's a Leon Cupra 20VT. I had to reverse my DV as the hose split just where it bends before meeting the DV nipple so I had to cut about an inch off the end of the hose. There wasn't enough length left in the hose to reconnect it normally. I'd like to replace the hose as I've replaced most of the others with Forge silicon hoses.

it should go back to the n249 valve on top of the rocker cover then back to the underside of the inlet manifold

One last question!! Is 6mm the internal or external diameter of the hose?

Sorry, just read the Forge site (properly this time!) and it clearly states it's the internal diameter!
