Warranty soon to expire - what to check?

Hi there.

The warranty on my 2004 Ibiza expires in Dec this year (it's a very late '04 :D).
Of course it will also need it's first MOT at the same time.
I was going to take it to a local garage to get it checked over before the warranty expires and the MOT becomes due (i.e. next month), they said they would point out anything that could be a warranty issue.

I want to give them a list of specific items to check - i.e. items that commonly fail and are covered under warranty.

My car has had a few things done under warranty - the light/foglight switch, the rear washer pipes (haven't we all), and the radiator as it had a leak (I think that's a rare one!).

Anything else I should get checked except the obvious MOT items?

Cheers.

What were the symptoms of your gearbox problem? I've crunched my gears a couple of times recently  but I think that's just me.

I did wonder if the engine mounts are Ok because there does seem to be some movement of the engine sometimes.

Basically, i change gear...only in first 3 gears, at slow speeds coming down from 5 to 2nd, 1 to 2 and into 3. the gearbox bangs, like its connecting without a clutch. No grind but a right thud. Clutch and flywheel have been replaced, oil changed in box but service guy at seat says he thinks its a new box

Sometimes I get a bang but it's the engine moving on the mounts because I've changed velocity quickly - ie slowing fast and shifting down to a low gear so my fault I guess, though I get it sometimes when pulling away in first if and I think it's again the sudden change in velocity moving the engine relative to the car (that's why I'm a bit worried about the engine mounts)

It might be worth getting them to check the suspension and anti-roll bar bushes. I had the suspension bushes on mine changed just before the warranty expired. Unfortunately I think my arb bushes might be on the way out now and it's out of warranty.
