Back in the of my old TDi Leon I had a friend who owned a golf TDi with same engine (1.9 TDi 110 bhp) he had this thing that plugged into the engine where you could change the cars BHP/Torque levels. Any how after time he sold his car and fitted this new box thingy to my car.. any way it was great ok so a tiny bit Smokey but great fun, made loads of diff to my car, I could change the car for how I wanted it depending on where and how I was driving.. Now I’ve sold the car, but before it left me  I took out this box thinking maybe its going to be worth something to someone one day…. But now I’ve no idea what to call it? Is it a chip/power box? Does anyone wanna make me a offer? lol

Yeah its not the best pic, the bit of wire where the red thing is attactes onto your airflow sensor wire??

the box thing with the 4 holes init that the red-ended wire goes back to has a turn dial on it to adjust the POWER

My guess is it adjusts the signal to tell the throttle body to open wider? A similar kind of thing to this sprint booster malarky?

Or am I just talking out of my arse? :)

i'm not sure what it is? how much would it be worth? what would i call it if i advertise it? i dont wanna go saying its a "blah" cause if i sell it as a "blah" and its not then some poor bugger just brought something that it might not be? does that make any sense?

Can't see the pics at work but i'm guessing it's whats 'best' known as a "Tuning box", do a search for this, also try the TDI section.

They're not held in very high regard on here, rightly so by the sounds of it.

if you are selling it on ebay you should say it will give the buyer 50bhp more AND improve fuel economy, thats what every other bugger does ;)
