Hi, im new to this forum so here goes... Right basically I have a Cupra Sport 16valve with the ronal??? white muiltispoke wheels. Thing is the car is going to be built to road rally/stage spec, and getting motorsport tyres for 16s is not really easy. So is it true that the later wheels on the cupra sports were 15s?? If so will they fit over the 280mm calipers? Reason is 15s are much easier to get tyres for.

Any info on this would be appreciated.

The 5 spokes fitted to 8v's clear 280mm wheels without a glitch (15")

they're not very wide though...

Are they as wide as the early gti 3 spokes?because if so it shouldnt really be a problem.

Cant seem to find a wanted or for sale section. So if anyone wants to swop or sell some 15 5 spokes for some nice 16 muiltispokes in white let me know!

Found the for sale and wanted section now!!

Hi Ronnie 35,

Don't know if its of any use, im building a stage car also and have found 16" tyres at www.cars-gb.com. Not to expensive either about £60 a corner I think.

Ryderf3, what car are you building then?Im not to fussed on colways to be honest, much preffer a yoko a035 or a021, however a021 cannot be had on 15s so i guees ill have to try the a048.

Those speedlines look ace! Havent got the money to spend on a new set at the mo. That went on a custom cages cage and hopefully some decent supsension.

It was meant to be a road rally car but I think its now gonna be a tarmac stage car. I've always wanted to do stages so I think thats what it will be, aiming to do some next year. Do you mind me asking what suspension you are gonna run and roughly how much it cost, thats the only thing I have left to source really.... ;)

Sorry, my car is same as yours 2.0 16v.

Yeah eventually i want to do stages, but i wanna give the welsh road rally championship another go! Suspension is rather difficult as most stuff is for fast road. Been speaking to AVO suspension, and considering some two way ride height adjustable monotube struts for the front, and just ride height adjustable's at the rear. Check AVO website, they have been very helpfull to me.

Out of interest what spec is your car. Im kinda finding it difficult to find proper motorsport parts for these cars!! But at the moment im just goin to concerntrate in getting the car to handle half decently!

Engine wise its pretty standard, just a filter and strut brace, Got a FIA sparco cage from peter lloyd rallying. He also can get OMP sump guards but gonna see if I can get one made by a mate cheaper. Brakes I am looking to get are from rally design.co.uk. Have not contacted them yet but their web site is showing Group N spec stuff fairly reasonable. Hope that helps, Most engine bits can be bought for mk3 golfs though I am led to believe but I haven't looked yet as not enough money this year.

Im currently fabricating my own sumpguard on mine now, it started off a 3ft x 3ft 8mm thick chunck of alluminium dural. Should be done soon, as the cars being used in a road rally on sat! Not goin to work out to dear i think after its done itll cost around 120. If you want the dimmensions to make one yourself let me know
